Traveling for five out of twelve months has made for an unusual year. We are excited to be ‘home’ and although we moved in a year ago, feel like we are still getting settled. At least Brian and I do. While traveling across Canada and staying in several people’s houses, we realized that it took our kids only two nights to feel totally at home in a new place. Adaptability and flexibility are skills that our mobile lifestyle has forced them to learn. Here are some pictures of the area that doesn’t totally feel like home, yet, but that’s what we’re calling it.
This is how one city can house 8,000,000 people!
So this is our neighbourhood. What do you think? Thanks for visiting! If you remember my last post, you’ll know we had an opportunity to connect with friends from another part of the country and to have some family time. It was fabulous. We are back into the swing of regular life again, which now includes blogging for me. I’ll post again soon.
Charity I enjoy your writings, I am amazed you were able to take a picture of the park, with no people, you must have been up very early. I love the beauty of the gardens in the midst of so much concrete. blessings & love
Thanks Sharon, it’s always so nice to hear from you!

It is great to see what your building looks like. I am sure that we will be able to find it quite easily when we come for a visit:) … but then again it probably looks like hundreds of others!
How do I sign up to get every post. I see that I have missed quite a few.
I’d be quite impressed if you could find our building;) As for subscribing, do you see a small plus sign in a circle, with the word Follow after it, at the bottom right hand side of your screen? If you click on that you can input your e-mail address and you will be notified every time I make a post.
Hi Charity. You likely don’t know who I am. I am your mother’s cousin. Keith Drake is my younger brother. Where you live is completely opposite of were we live. We are on a farm at the end of a dead end road. The closest house is a mile away and the closest house with someone living in it is a mile and a half away! The amount of people in such a small space blows my mind. I get claustrophobic just being in Kitchener.
Hi Harvey. It’s great to hear from you. My aunt and uncle live on a farm that sounds a lot like yours. We love visiting, but it’s such a shock coming from China! While I do love it here, I often wish I could escape to their farm for a day, or anywhere to get a break from the crowds and noise.
Thanks for following my blog!
