As predicted, Canada Day was special. No parade, no fireworks, but my kids weren’t expecting those.
They begged Brian and I to play Canada-opoly – a game without an end. The snacks were endless too, thanks to a friend who visited just in time, bringing gifts of “Canadian” treats.
She blew us away with her generosity (six bags of chocolate chips!!!) and reminded me once again that while there are things we miss, we are, in many other ways, blessed.
Has someone surprised you with generosity? I hope you’ll share in the comment box.
I think we have half a dozen versions of Monopoly at our place. It’s my son’s favorite game. But I’ve never seen this version! So glad you could turn the occasion into something fun and that a generous friend enhanced the experience! I’ve also been blessed by a generous friend this week sharing her time in a sacrificial way. Thank God for good friends!
Thanks Pearl. Friendship is a gift, isn’t it? So glad you were also blessed by a generous friend!
