Memories of Chinese New Year
(Malachi was back)
by Charity Lee Jennings

A Wonderful Visit
Since my son, Malachi, came for a visit during Chinese New Year, we got to relive some memories!
Night after night the sky was filled with the explosion of fireworks. And Malachi wasn’t taking a break from his college courses – he brought them along. So, just like when he was young and growing up in China, he tried to work through the days of Chinese New Year, on little sleep.
It’s been weeks since the holiday passed, but as I’ve just said good-bye to my son and his girlfriend, after a wonderful visit, the memories are fresh in my mind and I’m treasuring them. This drew me to revisit some posts from past Chinese New Years’. I’ve included links to a few here, as well as a short video of “The Best Dragone Dance Yet!” I hope you enjoy a taste of China!

China is where I got my start selling art and now that I’m back in Asia, I’ve been encouraged to make prints available for sale online. I’m eager to keep sharing my art, and the meaning behind it, so I’ll have an online store coming soon – to receive updates about my shop and blog, subscribe below.
