I often feel the tension between the demands of life and my desires to create. I know I’m not alone. In response, I’ve designed this simple project – something you can do over your coffee break.
The simple lines and shapes stand out and I love how the silver gel pen shimmers on the black paper.
I cut a piece of black poster board to 14 x 19 cm (about 5.5 x 7.5 inches) and used a silver uni-ball pen. If you don’t have these supplies, that’s okay – you can use any paper. I recommend pen or marker and instead of worrying about getting it exact, just enjoy making your mark on a page.

And the completed drawing in just 3 steps!
You can draw this lotus bud over and over making little adjustments each time and see what you come up with.
Enjoy playing around with the design.
Did you join me in taking an art break? If so, I’d love to see your creation. Email me at charityleejennings@outlook.com
Charity, I love how you’re seizing moments to make art! I haven’t drawn in awhile but you’re inspiring. You could have a whole series – 10 minute creations. 🙂 Hugs!
Thanks, Pearl. I’m glad you’re inspired – it’s amazing how just a few minutes of creating can be so refreshing.
