I did a quick sketch of a pigeon last night from a photo my daughter found, using a turquoise watercolour pencil. The process of drawing before I went to bed and setting out my painting supplied meant I woke up in the zone and ready to paint. For me these are the best days, when I wake up with both inspiration and time to create.
